Beloved, today the Lord teaches us the importance of trust, continuity in God’s plan, and faithful service.
In the First Reading, Paul recounts the history of Israel, showing how God faithfully guided His people from Egypt to the promise of salvation. Despite human weakness, God remained faithful to His covenant, preparing the way for Jesus, the promised Savior.
The Psalm celebrates God’s enduring faithfulness. It reminds us that His covenant is firm, His promises are reliable, and His love is everlasting.
In the Gospel, Jesus speaks to His disciples about humility and service. He reminds them that a servant is not greater than his master. He also emphasizes that those who receive His messengers receive Him, and ultimately, receive the Father who sent Him.
Beloved, this message teaches us that God is present in the people He sends and in the process He allows.
In today’s world, it is easy to become impatient or discouraged when life does not unfold as expected. But God’s plan is always consistent, even when it is not immediately visible.
To trust God means:
Believing in His timing
Accepting His guidance through others
Remaining faithful even in uncertainty
You are part of a larger story God is writing, one that began long before you and continues beyond your present situation.
Stay faithful. Stay humble. Stay trusting.
