Beloved, today the Church celebrates Saint Mark the Evangelist, a faithful servant and herald of the Good News. His life reminds us that the Gospel is not meant to be kept, it is meant to be proclaimed.
In the First Reading, Saint Peter exhorts believers to humility, trust, and vigilance. He reminds us to cast all our anxieties on God because He cares for us. Even in the face of trials, we are encouraged to stand firm in faith.
The Psalm celebrates God’s enduring love and faithfulness. It is a reminder that our strength and joy come from walking in His presence.
In the Gospel, Jesus gives the Great Commission, sending His disciples into the world to preach the Gospel. He promises that signs will accompany those who believe, affirming that His power works through those who are willing to go.
Beloved, this message is both an invitation and a responsibility.
In today’s world, many are searching for truth, hope, and direction. You may not stand on a pulpit, but your life is a message:
Through your words
Through your actions
Through your character
Like Saint Mark, you are called to share the story of Christ in your own way.
You may feel unqualified or unsure, but God does not call the perfect, He perfects those He calls.
Do not hide your faith. Do not stay silent. The world needs the light you carry.
