A Testimony by Rev. Fr. Ejike Camillus Mbaka

“I am the Lord who heals you” - Exodus 15:26 In honor of St. Camillus de Lellis, the patron saint of the sick and hospitals, and during the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), Rev. Fr. Mbaka shared a powerful testimony of his healing experience in his childhood years. Since his childhood, Fr. Mbaka lived with chronic sicknesses. He was always sick that at some points, his dad became skeptical about whether he would live the following school day since he was being rushed home from his farm unconscious at times. Unfortunately, Fr. Mbaka shared that many members of his family, especially brothers and sisters, have died due to similar problems. He did not have any of them when he was growing up. However, it all changed one day when he was in JSS 2 studying in St. John Parish, Agbogugu. During the time when he was in great pain and having open, exuding wounds at the sides of his body, he had a divine encounter with the Eucharist. According to him, "During that particular day that I encountered Jesus in the Eucharist, I got instant healing from all the wounds and pain." The wounds dried and the fear of death was gone; thus, leaving Fr. Mbaka as a healthier individual than he used to be. Today, as a priest of the Most High God, Rev. Fr. Mbaka is a living testimony of healing in the Body and Blood of Christ.
