Key Verse

“The one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.”
— Luke 9:48

Word for Today

The disciples were arguing about who was the greatest among them. Jesus responded by placing a child beside Him and teaching them that true greatness is found in humility and service.

In the first reading, Job faced great suffering and loss, yet he continued to honour God. His story reminds us that our faith should not depend only on what we receive from God.

Sometimes life may not go as we expect. We may lose things, face difficulties or feel forgotten. But God calls us to remain faithful and trust Him.

Do not measure your greatness by position, recognition or possessions. Measure it by your love, humility and willingness to serve.

Remember today:

True greatness begins with humility.
Serve others without seeking recognition.
Do not allow pride to control your heart.
Remain faithful even in difficult times.
Trust God when you do not understand what is happening.

The greatest person is not the one who is above others, but the one who is willing to serve others.

Prophetic Declaration

May God give you a humble heart.
May pride never separate you from His grace.
May you receive strength in every difficult moment.
May the Lord establish you as an instrument of service and blessing.
May your faith remain strong in every season.

You will not be destroyed by your trials; your faith will grow stronger. Amen.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Give me a humble and faithful heart. Help me to serve others without seeking recognition. When I face difficulties, give me the grace to trust You like Job. Remove pride from my heart and teach me to follow the example of Jesus. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Meditation

Am I seeking to be recognised, or am I willing to serve? Lord Jesus, give me a humble heart and the grace to serve You faithfully every day.
