✦ GOD IS YOUR SHEPHERD

Beloved, today's Word reveals the heart of God as the Good Shepherd who cares deeply for His people. In the First Reading, God speaks strongly against shepherds who failed to care for the flock entrusted to them. Instead of protecting and nourishing the sheep, they cared only for themselves. God declares that He Himself will search for His sheep, rescue them, feed them, and bring them back to safety. What a beautiful assurance! When human beings fail us, God does not abandon us. There may be seasons when you feel forgotten, neglected, rejected, or left behind. You may wonder who is watching over you. Today's Word gives you an answer: God is watching over you.
Psalm 23 declares, “The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.” The Shepherd leads, protects, restores, and provides. Even when we walk through dark valleys, His presence remains with us. In the Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the workers in the vineyard. Some were called early, while others were called later, yet the master generously gave them their reward. This reminds us that God's grace is not limited by human timelines. Perhaps you think you started too late. Perhaps you feel others are ahead of you. Do not compare your journey with someone else's. The God who called them is also calling you. His timing is perfect, and His grace is sufficient.
When we allow God to shepherd us:
He leads us when we do not know which way to go.
He restores us when we are broken and weary.
He protects us in seasons of danger and uncertainty.
He provides what we need according to His will.
He reminds us that we are never forgotten.
Beloved, stop measuring your worth by how quickly others seem to be progressing. You are in God's hands. If He called you late, He can still make your life fruitful. If you have wandered, He can bring you back. If you are wounded, He can restore you. The Shepherd is looking for you. The Shepherd has not forgotten you. Trust His voice. Follow His leading. Remain in His presence.
