Beloved, today's Gospel presents us with a woman who refused to give up until she encountered the mercy of Jesus. She came crying, “Lord, help me!” Her daughter was suffering, but instead of allowing the situation to destroy her faith, she turned to Jesus with persistent trust. At first, Jesus appeared silent. Even when the disciples wanted her sent away, she continued to seek the Lord. Her persistence teaches us a powerful lesson: God's silence is not necessarily God's absence. Sometimes, faith must continue praying even when the answer seems delayed.
The Canaanite woman did not allow rejection, delay, or discouragement to stop her. She humbled herself before Jesus and continued believing that even the smallest touch of His mercy could change her situation. Finally, Jesus declared, “Great is your faith!” Her daughter was healed from that very moment. What prayer could not seem to accomplish immediately was transformed through persistent faith.
The First Reading reminds us that God's house is a house of prayer for all peoples. God's mercy is not limited by nationality, background, status, or past. When we approach Him with a sincere heart, we encounter a God whose salvation reaches beyond human boundaries. The Second Reading reminds us that the gifts and call of God are irrevocable. God does not abandon His purposes. His mercy remains greater than human failure. Beloved, do not give up on God because your answer has not yet appeared. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep worshipping. Keep trusting.Your situation may be difficult, but your God is greater.
When we walk in persistent faith:
We refuse to surrender to discouragement.
We continue praying even when answers seem delayed.
We learn to trust God's wisdom and timing.
We receive strength to overcome impossible situations.
Our faith becomes a testimony to others.
Today, bring your impossible situation before Jesus. Bring your family, your children, your health, your finances, your ministry, your dreams, and every burden that has become too heavy for you.
Come before Him and say with the Canaanite woman:
“Lord, help me!”
Do not walk away. Keep believing. Keep knocking. Keep trusting. There is still power in the hands of Jesus, and great faith can produce great testimonies.

Today, I receive the grace for persistent and victorious faith. Every impossible situation in my life shall receive divine intervention. Where there has been delay, let there be divine visitation. Where there has been rejection, let God's favour speak for me. My prayers shall not be wasted. The Lord shall remember my family and answer our cries for help. Every door that God has ordained for me shall open at the appointed time. I shall testify, “The Lord has done great things for me!”

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
I come before You today with faith and confidence. Like the Canaanite woman, I cry out, “Lord, help me!” Look with mercy upon me and every situation that needs Your intervention. When You seem silent, help me to keep trusting. When the answer is delayed, give me patience. When I feel rejected or discouraged, strengthen my faith. Teach me never to give up on You. Lord Jesus, visit my family, my loved ones, and every area of my life that needs healing, restoration, breakthrough, and divine intervention. Let Your mercy speak where human strength has failed.
May my faith become a testimony, and may my life continually proclaim the greatness of Your name. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
